Senior textile prize winner Ed Elgin’s exam piece was created in response
to the theme ‘experiences’. Alice in Wonderland being a particular childhood
favourite, he based his cape and stunning train on the character of the Red
Queen. The starting point for his coursework piece was the Tree of Life,
combining the work of Gary Hume and Alexander McQueen.

The junior prize went to Cordelia Gao for her stunning garment, based on the
theme of art deco. She designed and made this truly unique piece using her
own patterns. AH
