With a Little Bit of Magic …

Our Lower Sixth were treated to a special performance by Ian
Keable, Professional Magician and Member of the Inner Magic
Circle on his Curious Career: From Chartered Accountant to
Professional Magician. Ian was just one speaker at this year’s
Future Focus event, when the students’ timetable is suspended
for a two-day intensive focus on their life after Bloxham. Other
experts included Emma Goodman, on How to Create a Winning
CV and Covering Letter and Peter Higgins, Co-Founder of Charles
Tyrwhitt Shirts, former Chairman of Cath Kidston and Trustee of
Mary’s Meals. Here, Lauren Manning, Lower Sixth, reviews the
event:

help me consider all my options. Nigel Revell, the Ex-Director
of Education and Advocacy for Teenage Cancer Trust, gave an
incredibly moving and inspirational talk on his journey, which
gave me the initiative to follow my own passions in my future.” Budding Fourth Form medics enjoyed an informative day with MCS Projects
Ltd, taking part in practical activities led by current medical students
