We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about computer science with the ability to plan engaging, and differentiated lessons, and a good understanding of assessment and behaviour management strategies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is confidence in using ICT to enhance learning. A willingness to contribute to pastoral care and the wider co-curricular life of the school is also required.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree Level in Computer Science or related subject
  • Experience of teaching computer science from age 11 to 18
  • Confident user of IT for the enhancement of lesson delivery and student learning for admin, data analysis etc.
  • High level of communication skills and ability to work with colleagues as part of a team

Working Arrangements:

  • Full time

  • Bloxham School is a thriving school with a warm and friendly staff community.
  • Our school day starts at 8.30 am and finishes at 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Academic lessons end at 3.30pm after which our staff contribute to broader curricular activities, academic drop-ins and pastoral meetings.
  • Saturday lessons are from 8.30am -12.00.
  • The pastoral service we offer at Bloxham School matters hugely to us and therefore all teachers are tutors. If you are a senior tutor, you will be expected to carry out one evening duty per week in their boarding house from 6.45-10.00pm and if a junior tutor, once a fortnight from 6pm-9pm.

Salary:

  • Bloxham salary scale, dependent on experience
