Robert Christopher Aldridge Fisher (Cr 59-63) passed away on 5 November 2023. Robert was the younger brother of Michael (Cr 45-52) and the uncle of Tony (Cr 74-79) and John (Cr 80-83). He was a Lance Corporal in the CCF and won House Colours in boxing.
The formative influence on him at Bloxham was his Housemaster, Brian Kemp (Staff 52-84), who ran Crake for an unequalled 22 years. On leaving Bloxham, Robert wrote under ‘future plans’ that he hoped to become a Chartered Accountant, and, sure enough, he ran the family accountancy business and lived on Merseyside all his life. According to his nephew, Tony, he was a keen golfer and photographer who particularly enjoyed travelling to Majorca.
