Old Bloxhamist, George Robbins (Wn 98-03), has had enormous success with his RailRepay App, winning UK App of the Year for the ‘Travel, Leisure and News’ category at the UK App Awards at The Brewery in London.
RailRepay is an automated compensation platform for the rail industry and helps consumers to simply and quickly claim compensation for a delayed or cancelled train journey.
George commented: ‘The last fifteen months have seen an idea grow from sketches on paper to an app available in app stores. We have completed an industry startup accelerator; won the Startups Choice award; raised a round of investment; and now won this award! Wow, what a rollercoaster year with only more to come next year as we look to scale through the train operators and beyond!’
