Jane Spalton (SH/Wf 83-85) passed away peacefully on 20 March 2024. Jane always remembered the happy time she spent at Bloxham both in Stone Hill and Wilberforce. During her two years she made many valued friends and was in touch with several of them until recent years.
Moira Ogilvie (Staff 83-91) was her Housemistress in Stone Hill in her final year. In 1986, when Jane applied for a job as PA at the Warneford Hospital in Oxford, Moira wrote ‘she is an adaptable person with an outgoing personality and innate intelligence and common sense.’ She was a Chapel Prefect and studied history, geography and art at A Level, showing particular talent in art, especially sculpture and photography.
