Duncan Harrington (Wf 59-63) passed away in March 2023. Duncan was a Wilberforce House Prefect and played rugby for the 2nd XV during the 1962-63 season. He was also a member of the Athletics team and Editor of the Bloxham Miscellany.

After Bloxham, Duncan became a respected genealogist and antiquary; he was a member of the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, and for many years was attached to The National Archives. He also taught part-time at the School of History at the University of Kent, the county which was the focus of most of his research. He was elected President of the Kent Family History Society in 2004, having helped to found the organisation in 1974. Bloxham School benefitted from his expertise, and especially from the fruits of his research into the family history of the Founder, Philip Reginald Egerton.
