Three Hickstead National Championship Qualifications for Bloxham’s Equestrian Squad

Photos of Bloxham Equestrian Squad 2021Congratulations to Bloxham’s Equestrian Squad who secured three Hickstead National Championship Qualifications at yesterday's Beachborough Eventer Challenge.

Bloxham riders performed well in their first outing of the season with competitors in every class of the day, a special mention going to trailblazer Hattie B. for riding a super round in the large 70cm class.

Our team of Hattie B., Tamsin H., Raffaella C. and Millie S. rode very well in the 80cm class to achieve team 3rd place and qualify for the NSEA Eventer Challenge Championships at Hickstead later this year. Evie also rode a great round as an individual.

Next up were Evie B., Tamsin, Raffaella and Millie who all rode beautifully to 4th place and another Hickstead Championship team qualification. It was great to see the new partnerships blossoming through the day with young horses gaining confidence with their riders’ experience. Millie came very close to the optimum time and with just 4 faults, gained 6th place individually.

Finally, our 100cm team comprising Charlotte F-S., Izzie F-S. and Angelina S. rode superbly to win their class with the school’s third Hickstead Championship qualification of the day! All girls rode exceptionally well with Charlotte taking the class individual win, Izzie 3rd and Angelina 8th place.

Equestrian Administrator, Berni Newcombe said "It was such a pleasure to see the squad riding so well and supporting each other with typical Bloxham camaraderie…. exciting times ahead!"
