Winner of the Blackwell’s Book Design Competition

Fourth Former Emma B has recorded a pandemic delayed, but nonetheless impressive, victory in the Oxfordshire Students’ Book Cover Design competition, ran by Blackwell’s Publishing.

Choosing to illustrate The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S.Lewis, Emma successfully reflected the spirit and content of the book, winning first-prize. On top of receiving a certificate and prize money, Emma has been invited to spend a day printing at the press of a renowned contemporary printer.

Greater still, her design will be printed as a unique dustjacket and exhibited at the Fine Press Fair (an international biennial event featuring the world’s most celebrated private presses and book artists).
