Upper Sixth Bloxham student Will presented at the recent ARTiculation public speaking event
ARTiculation 2016 is a public speaking event organised by Cambridge University and Roche Court Sculpture Park whereby students give a short presentation about a work of art which inspires them.
This week, Upper Sixth student Will represented Bloxham School and delivered his talk on Slipstream, the huge sculpture by Richard Wilson in Heathrow Terminal 2. Will gave his speech in front of a large audience, including the adjudicator Will Gompertz, BBC Arts Editor at the Ashmolean Museum. Will gave a very good account of the sculpture and he was able to include examples of his own work. It was obvious that he gained a lot from the experience and he received some excellent feedback from Gompertz.
There will be an opportunity to hear Will’s talk, along with the other five shortlisted Bloxham speakers, on Monday 21 March (7.00pm-8.00pm) in the VLR.
Thank you to the ARTiculation team for providing these photographs from the day.
