This weekend, Bloxham School launched its newly-formatted Eventer Challenge Series at Washbrook Farm, home to the prestigious Aston-le-Walls horse trials
The Eventer Challenge brought together individuals and teams from far and wide to compete in this new schools’ event, which comprised show jumping and cross country. There was a range of difficulty levels, with classes ranging from 65cm to 110cm, and the course judges were impressed by the skills put on display by the young riders during the weekend.
This weekend marked the first round in the series, with further rounds occurring monthly. Competitors are permitted to enter as many classes as they like and will accumulate points for their performances, with the highest scorers being invited to compete at February’s grand final.
We were delighted to see Bloxham’s own team put on a strong performance at the event, with Sunday’s Pre-Intro class being the highlight – won by Bloxham Third Former Amy Skan, with Nay Rathmell, also in Third Form, coming Second. Well done girls!
Further results from the weekend can be read here.
Many thanks to everyone who took part in this exciting new event and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves! We are looking forward to welcoming you to the next round in November.
