Yesterday, our junior netball players enjoyed a fantastic training session with Wasps Netball Pro, Renske Stoltz.

Originally from South Africa, Renske is currently playing GA/GS for Wasps Netball in the Netball Superleague whilst also playing for South Africa internationally. She played for Loughborough Lightning in the 2017 British Fast5 All Stars Netball Championship whereby she sunk a last-minute shot in the grand final against Team Bath to earn the championship title as well as earning the Player of the Series award. She also got selected to represent South Africa in the’2017 Fast5 Netball World Series in Australia.

Renske used the afternoon to focus on drills and training technique, encouraging the girls to work on the basics before building on each step to end up with a selection of complex drills. She finished the session with a team-building practise in which the girls competed shots against sprints!

Thank you to Renske for visiting Bloxham, and her brilliant work with the girls. This falls ahead of the upcoming Exham House trip to Wasps Netball on Sunday, when students will get to see Renske in action!
