Bloxham School students came 3rd in the Schools Shooting Competition at Hereford and Worcester Shooting ground on Sunday 27th November 2016
Bloxham shooting teams held strong against tough competition on Sunday, competing in a new schools event at Hereford & Worcester Shooting Ground.
The A team finished a respectable 3rd behind Warwick School and winners Millfield. Becky S, shooting for the A team was the star of the day, taking the trophy for the Girls’ High Gun with a score of 39 out of 40 just one clay ahead after a recount. Ben S-P shot really well in his first competition and finished 3rd in the Boys event with a score of 40 out of 50.
We are really grateful for the commitment from pupils and parents over the exeat weekend. The teams excelled themselves against schools that are able to shoot all year round and were undeterred by fierce competition, showing tremendous amounts of team sprit and enthusiasm. They gained valuable competition experience and a huge congratulations goes out to all our competitors who were so supportive of each other.
Well done to both teams:
A team: Nick, Jonty, Paddy, Becky and Toby
B Team: Ben, Richard, Edward, Thomas and Oscar
