Last week, our Sixth Form students enjoyed a fascinating lecture from Angharad Orchard, Katherine House Hospice CEO as part of the Sixth Form Lecture Series.
Angharad spoke about her life story; her journey from university, to becoming an accountant and her desire to help others within a charitable organisation, with her main message based around the idea that ‘it’s ok to not have a plan’.
She spoke about the opportunities at Katherine House Hospice, and a number of our students stayed behind after the lecture to discuss how they could get involved with some volunteer work within the organisation. This proved a fantastic opportunity for Bloxham students and opens the door for them to explore pursuits in charitable causes.’
