Bloxham School’s 2017 student creative writing collection, entitled A Willow Cabin, is now available to view.

This collection takes its name from Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night, a gender-bending, comedic tale of misunderstandings and romance.

Many of the pieces in this edition focus on the idea of misunderstandings and mistaken identity, and embody themes and motifs from Shakespeare’s play. Several entries were shortlisted in this year’s Deddington Festival Writing Competition, for which the theme was ‘discovery’. In the pages that follow, you will find short prose and poetry texts set in mysterious worlds and filled with excitement and human drama. There’s even an unexpected twist or two.
