Bloxham’s equestrians have achieved a remarkable number of successes at recent competitions, both individually and as a Bloxham team.

Bloxham was proudly represented by Bridget, Hattie and Jemima at the School Equestrian Games, National Eventing Championships at Dauntsey Park in Wiltshire. All three qualifying riders excelled.

Bridget and Hattie competed as individuals in the 80cm Championships, where Bridget secured third place in her section on her horse Jerry and fourth place overall. Hattie finished just outside the ribbons in eleventh place. Jemima competed in the 90cm Championships, where she earned third place in her section.

The girls demonstrated exceptional skills and resilience, navigating a challenging course under difficult weather conditions. A special mention goes to Hattie, who has shown incredible patience and dedication in working with her new young horse for over a year, forging a strong bond and achieving a commendable result.

Outside of school competitions, Freddie has consistently showcased his exceptional riding skills and this year began competing for British Eventing. He enjoyed a successful first season finishing second in the Central Youth League at the end of July. As a result, Freddie also secured three additional qualification tickets, giving him the opportunity to compete in the Badminton Grassroots event next May.

At the end of the summer, Freddie competed in his first Badminton qualifier at Frickley, where he impressively finished second in a highly competitive class that included adult riders. He then advanced to the Youth Championships at Chillington Hall, securing another second place with a standout dressage performance and a double clear inside the time over a challenging course.

Congratulations also go to:

  • Aisling who represented the Heythrop Hunt Pony Club in the 90cm team show jumping at Blenheim Palace Horse Trials, placing second individually out of over 140 competitors;
