Old Bloxhamist, Craig de Weymarn, helped the England Cricket squad to their resounding victory in this year’s Ashes through his work as the team’s physiotherapist
Craig de Weymarn, England’s Team Physiotherapist, has been kept busy’ throughout a long season, attending to the England players, especially the bowlers. One of the players he has helped to return to fitness was Mark Wood, who missed the Third Test with an ankle injury but came back to play at Trent Bridge and take the last Australian wicket to clinch the Ashes. A talented cricketer himself, Craig was a star batsman during his time at Bloxham and captained Bournemouth CC to the 2009 ECB National Club T20 and the 2010 Southern Electric Premier League title.
Before he took up the England post in 2013, Craig was physiotherapist to Hampshire County Cricket Club.
