Back in April, Bloxham First Formers took inspiration from their school surroundings to come up with some wonderful musical and artistic creations

Who would have thought that dropping stones, running your hand over a radiator or closing a photocopier tray could be music? Bloxham First Formers, armed with their beloved iPads, turned the school site into their own recording studio this term as part of the Music and Art project. In the style of Karl Stockhausen and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, they collected all kinds of sounds from around school and manipulated them to create their own music. The young artists enjoyed rushing around the site, studying and collecting bark, leaves and birds, to use as inspiration for some fantastic pieces of art.

First Former Noah has been busy creating this video documentary of the process.
