Bloxham are marking national Healthy Eating Week by adjusting their own daily offerings to reduce calorie intake and boost nutritional value for all its staff and students
This week is BNF Healthy Eating Week 2015 and we at Bloxham are taking steps to mark this ourselves. The Catering team always work hard to ensure there are healthy options available to our staff and students but this week they have been busy coming up with even healthier alternatives for the usual meals. All the pastas, flour, bread and rice have been switched for wholegrain versions and there is minimal oil going into the preparation of all food. Extra light mayo is available at the salad bar, there is no cream or butter in the soups and yogurt has replaced the usual cream with the desserts.
All these small steps go a way towards improving our general health and we at the school are keen to promote this, especially to support our students who lead such busy lives with all their academic studies, sports and activities.
