Well done to our top set Fourth Form English class, who staged a fantastic production of Henry V last week
Many thanks to Emma Bradley, English teacher here at Bloxham School, for her report below on the Fourth Form’s recent production of Henry V:
Top set English Fourth Form students staged an abridged ‘Henry V’ on Friday 8th May. The students have been analysing the full text for their English Literature IGCSE examination and rehearsing the play to gain a more complete engagement with the play’s central characters, themes and plot.
Many thanks to all those who came along to support the Friday evening production, highlights of which included wonderful costumes, supplied by our school Wardrobe Mistress Sally Brittin-Snell, and outstanding performances by Monty Ng as Henry V and Archie Hood as the King of France. It was inspiring to see every student in the class taking on a speaking role and contributing to this dynamic hour of entertainment. They are all now engaged in preparation for their Fourth Form exams after a very busy week of final rehearsals which culminated in their one-night-only performance. Well done to them all!
