This weekend saw the annual Founderstide celebrations in which the whole Bloxham community came together to celebrate the school.
The celebrations were kick-started by the Whole School Eucharist on Friday, which saw students, staff and parents giving thanks for the school’s founding.
On Saturday, guests enjoyed a jam-packed day of activities, starting with the prize-giving assembly. Over 1,000 students, staff and guests came together in the Founderstide marquee to celebrate the winners, and enjoy an engaging and interesting talk from guest speaker, Judi James.
The afternoon was then filled with activities and displays, including Jacqui Skevington’s ‘Farewell to Raymond’ gathering in the Chapel, and a 20th anniversary commemorative showcase of the RTC. Guests enjoyed a picnic lunch in the sunshine, whilst the Bloxham XI cricketers took on the Old Bloxhamist XI in a competitive fixture in which the OBs took the crown. After lunch, the congregation moved down to Raymond Field where Lower and Middle School students took part in Junior Sports Day. Congratulations to Seymour and Raymond who were the overall winners, and to everyone who took part!’
The day was concluded with the annual Founderstide Ball. Held in the Founderstide marquee on Courtington Lane, guests donned their best ball gowns and black tie suits, and celebrated in style with dinner, drinks and dancing.
It was a fantastic day of celebrations, and a brilliant time was had by all. Thank you to everyone that helped put the event together, and to everyone who attended and made it so special.
