Our First Form pupils recently enjoyed a trip to the Brecon Beacons, Wales

This Monday, Bloxham’s First Form pupils returned from a brilliant trip to the Brecon Beacons. Below is a lovely report from First Former James Marshall, describing everything they got up to over their hectic weekend!

The First Form camp was to the Woodlands Activity Centre in the Brecon Beacons. It was an action-packed long weekend as on our first afternoon we did a high ropes course, zip wire and climbing wall. Over the weekend we paddled 10km in two-man canoes and explored some underground caves that had been made from Limestone erosion. Our guide told us that some of the stalactites were over 100,000 years old! We crawled through many tight spaces and holes which was great fun.

My highlight of the weekend was going down one of the holes called the toilet. You climbed down a hole in the ground and you waded through. We all splashed everyone when we were on the river ‘ but Mr Tuthill was definitely chief splasher! The food was great and we had lots of flapjack and other treats.
