Last week, Bloxham School’s Drama Department hosted three sell-out evening performances of their own original piece, Lost Boys
Based on the novel, Peter Pan, Lost Boys is an entirely original production, brought to life through the creative devisings of the students, teachers and children’s author Sam Gayton. With over 220 seats filled for each of the three evening shows the atmosphere was electric, and the audience clearly enjoyed every moment! The creativity behind the play shone through, culminating in a real spectacle, rife with fantastic costumes, catchy one-liners, powerful lighting and scenery and incredible singing and acting talent.
Comprising over 100 students and staff in the cast and production team, Lost Boys has been a mammoth undertaking for the Drama Department, but one that has paid dividends. With laugh-out loud moments throughout and great enthusiasm from all the cast, everyone has clearly enjoyed being involved in Lost Boys. It has been very rewarding to hear the feedback of those who have relished the opportunity to sit in the audience and feel a part of the whole experience.
Well done to everyone involved in this production. Who knows what they’ll come up with next- we look forward to finding out!
