Students enjoy informative careers breakfast with graphic designer, Ray Guzenda
Students who are interested in pursuing careers in design, publishing, marketing and advertising enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with Ray Guzenda from GD Associates on Monday morning.’
GD Associates are a graphic design agency based in Chipping Norton with local, national and international clients, over a range of sectors. The Students gained a lot from the opportunity to talk to Ray, and entry routes into the sector as well as what it takes to be successful in the creative world were discussed. Students were able to speak to Ray about their own career aspirations and received feedback on their work. The talk was hugely beneficial to the students and left them feeling informed and inspired.
‘The careers breakfast presentation this morning was really interesting. I have looked into graphic design in the past, but I never had an opportunity to listen to somebody who works in this area about what a graphic designer job implies, how to learn to become one and how to communicate with your clients, among other things. It is challenging yet rewarding work, as you not only have to express your own creativity, but satisfy the needs of your client. I am also glad I was able to stay after the event to speak to the presenter himself. He commented on my previous work and also concepts that are currently developing in the world of graphic design.
