From Monday 6th – Tuesday 7th May, 80 Third Form pupils took part in a practice expedition for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.

Pupils were divided into 12 teams, and were dropped at various locations in the North Oxfordshire countryside. The teams then spent six hours journeying to a campsite in Warwickshire.

All pupils successfully navigated their way to the site, and once there, set up their tents and prepared their meals before getting a good night’s sleep. The following day, they were tasked with walking and navigating a similar distance before returning to school for a debrief.

All groups completed the practice successfully and will now start preparations for the assessed expedition in Shropshire in June.
