Bloxham School’s Fergus has been selected to play in the Futures Cup hockey team this October
Players are nominated from performance centres to be part of one of four Futures Cup squads. It is the players who consistently show that they are the best performing and highest potential players in their age group and Performance Centres that are selected to play. As part of the preparation for the Futures Cup tournament the players attend two training days with their squads. The Futures Cup which follows runs over four days and sees the six squads (there is one each from Scotland and Wales) battle it out to be crowned winners. The National Age Group Coaches attend this tournament to select for the England U16 and U18 squads.
Fergus says “I’m really looking forward to the tournament and will try my absolute best to be selected for the England U18 squad.”
Best of luck to Fergus in the tournament.
