Congratulations to Fourth Form student Ivan (Yueran) W (Wn) who took part in the 2017 British Youth Go Championship last week at the British Go Association in Birmingham.
Ivan defeated the top four ranked opponents in the first four rounds in the five rounds match, subsequently winning the Open Champion title even before the final round! The organizer give him a option to give up the final round and he accepted the suggestion.
This is the second time Ivan has won the British Youth Go Open Champion title, following last year as the 2016 champion!
Ivan and his family would like to thank all the coaches and help Bloxham has given to help Ivan achieve this fantastic title – well done Ivan!
