Another great performance by the Bloxham Clay Pigeon Shooting team at last weekend’s Oxford Challenge hosted at Bredon School, rounding off another successful year!
The A team were runners up after finishing just one clay behind the hosts, Bredon School, in a deciding shoot off. 15 year old Jonty did brilliantly in the Under 21 individual competition to finish third, and Becky finishing in second place in the girls’ individual event. Very positive outlook for the future of the team too, with our young B team achieving a very creditable sixth place in their competition, including some strong individual performances.
So, it’s been a strong year all round, including a team win at March’s Oxford Challenge, second place at the Warwick Challenge, fourth at April’s National Schools event and second at Bredon by one clay. The B team finished fifth at the Nationals and our first ever Lower School team finished fifth in the Prep schools’ event.
