Mrs Hunneysett, the longest-serving member of Bloxham School’s catering team, today served up her forty-fifth and final Christmas lunch as she leaves to enjoy her well-earned retirement
Mrs Angela Hunneysett began working at Bloxham School 45 years ago when she worked in the Junior Boys’ Common Room. A lot of changes have occurred at the school since then and Mrs Hunneysett has seen them all, including the evolution from being a boys only to a fully co-educational school. In addition, she has seen some substantial changes take place within the catering team itself- with the entire kitchen being relocated and the size of the department itself expand to meet the needs of the ever-increasing student population.
Now, Mrs Hunneysett has decided that the time has come for her to hang up her apron and enjoy some peace at home and more time to spend with her family. Having never had a day off in in her entire career at the school and beginning work at 6.00am sharp, Mrs Hunneysett is looking forward to the summer months so she can get out and enjoy her garden.
Best wishes to Mrs Hunneysett from everyone here at Bloxham. Happy retirement, you will be missed by everyone at the school!
