Year 4 and 5 pupils from local primary and prep schools were asked to submit original cartoons with the theme of ‘Make Me Laugh!’
The results are in for Bloxham School’s Cartoonist of the Year competition. Year 4 and 5 pupils were asked to submit original cartoons with the theme of ‘Make Me Laugh!’. We received over 70 wonderfully humorous entries which were judged by Mr Matthew, Director of Art, and UK Young Cartoonist of the Year winner Bloxham student Daniel M. Our thanks to all who sent in an entry.
Mr Matthew said “The entries certainly made us laugh and we were impressed by the quality of drawing and range of funny ideas on show.”
Daniel and Mr Matthew chose a first, second and third place, with three entries Highly Commended and additional prizes for Technical Excellence and Funniest Joke. Certificates will be sent to the schools to be presented to the winning entries and celebrate their success.’
