Last week’s Soloists’ Concert, hosted at the school, was a real pleasure for all who attended.

With music dating back to the time of the Gun Powder Plot right up to contemporary times, Bloxham musicians performed a wide and varied programme of delights in last week’s Soloists’ Concert. Arthur sang about revenge courtesy of Handel, Jason Robert-Brown’s piece had Kate hurting and Ben gave an incredibly powerful rendition of a song by Javert from Les Miserables. Dimitry was on hand to provide a tonic to these more violent musical selections with a performance of Bach’s sublime Prelude in C. The audience also enjoyed further musical wizardry from Venetia, Octavia, Emma and George.

All the time students find to practice in their busy schedule certainly paid off as each performer gave great pleasure to the audience; a perfect reminder that the music never stops here at Bloxham.
