The School is celebrating success after achieving a very good set of A Level results that reflect the hard work and industry of our students and the expertise of our teaching staff. The leaving Upper Sixth achieved remarkable results gaining the highest grades, with many subject departments achieving over 80% A* to B, as well as excellent Value Added scores throughout the curriculum. Our students will go on to study for degrees and higher degree apprenticeships in subjects as diverse as Law to Engineering, Veterinary to Economics. The vast majority of our students have gained entry to Russell Group universities and specialist colleges for Drama and the Arts.

Congratulations to the Upper Sixth students on their terrific A Level achievement. I am delighted to see that our students have been rewarded for their hard work and determination. I am proud of all they have achieved in their time at Bloxham not just academically or within the broader curriculum but as well-rounded young people who are ready to take the next steps into society. We look forward to hearing of their successes as Old Bloxhamists but today we join them in celebrating their public exam achievements.

Student Stories and Leaving Destinations

Ben R.

Ben joined the School in the Third Form from Beachborough. He has thrived at Bloxham, particularly in Sixth Form, showing his maturity in his approach to his prefect responsibilities as Head of Third Form. This year, he captained the Clay Pigeon Shooting team and received the Senior Debating Prize. Ben took Economics, Mathematics and Politics for A Level, and additionally completed an EPQ qualification.

Ella C.

Ella joined Exham in the Second Form from Banbury’s Blessed George Napier School.
During her time in Sixth Form, Ella has studied for a BTEC in Hospitality and Business and
Economics at A Level. Her passion and talent for hospitality has been clear to see with her
Hospitality teacher commenting that she has ‘a successful career ahead’. Alongside her studies, Ella has had responsibility within Wilberforce for charity and volunteering and has enjoyed her time playing for the girls’ 1st cricket team.

Degree Apprenticeship with Gloucester University at The Ned, London

alex d.

Alex joined Exham in First Form from Dr. Radcliffe’s CE Primary. He entered Crake House in
Third Form, rising to take the position of Crake’s House Captain for 23-24. In his final year at
Bloxham he has represented the first team in all three major sports, achieving half colours for
each sport. Alex has studied Business, Geography and Politics at A Level, and also completed an EPQ. Alex is looking forward to enjoying a gap year before heading to university.

Ben l.

Ben joined Bloxham’s Fourth Form as an overseas student from Hong Kong. Ben has studied Economics, History and Politics at A Level and also completed an EPQ focused on China’s Qing Dynasty. This year, Ben was the recipient of the Marsden Public Speaking Prize, and also the School’s highest accolade of the Leaf Personal Development Prize. He has made a positive contribution to school life, including playing for Bloxham’s basketball team, photographing school events and being a member of the school choir and Harmonix group.

Caitlin D.

Caitlin joined Bloxham in First Form and has consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her studies throughout her time at the School. Excelling across the curriculum, she pursued Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics at A-Level, while also extending her learning beyond the classroom by completing an EPQ. In addition to her academic achievements, Caitlin has been a dedicated competitive dancer, balancing her rigorous studies with her passion for dance.
