All international pupils, whatever their age, should have a UK-based guardian.
The guardian must be appointed to act as the parents’ representative in this country during the pupil’s time at Bloxham. Guardians should be at least 25 years old and live within 2 hours drive of the school.
Guardians are expected to take an active role in a pupil’s school life, translating reports for parents where necessary, corresponding with tutors/House parents and also attending Parents’ Evenings. Please download our Guardianship policy below for full details of the role of the guardian.
There are a number of guardianship agencies specialising in this type of care and we recommend that any you choose is accredited by AEGIS. If you would like more information about guardians, please contact our Admissions team.
