At Bloxham we are proud of our work on the wellbeing of every student. A few key elements underpin our success:

Peer Listening has been running in our school for a number of years. A group of Sixth Formers are selected and then trained by “Relate” to supply a listening and support system to any student who may want it. They are well trained in matters of confidentiality, listening and offering the right levels of support and wisdom.

School counselling is offered by Steve Thorp, a highly respected professional practitioner of many years’ experience. As well as providing one-to-one confidential support to students, parents and staff, Steve also trains staff through listening and wellbeing courses and offers supervision for all those involved in pastoral care (including all Peer Listeners).

Palmer Health Centre is a place of safety, health and support for all our students. Our School Doctor, Dr Stephen Haynes, and his colleague, Dr Ann Saunders, hold regular surgeries and are involved in health education and daily school life. We have three school Sisters supplying round the clock health care, a Health Care Assistant and a Physiotherapist.

"Pupils are happy and describe their experience of school life as great fun" ISI
