David Bowden joined Bloxham School in September 2020 as the History and Politics Teacher and Wilson Housemaster.
For a long time David (mistakenly) assumed that he would open the batting for England. Once his delusions of grandeur became apparent, he jumped between a number of jobs before finally settling on education. After a PGCE from Bristol he embarked on a teaching career that has seen him fulfil numerous roles in a variety of schools including Housemaster, Head of Sixth Form, Assistant Head and Head of History.
He arrived at Bloxham in 2020 and immediately realised he had been appointed Housemaster of the best house in the school. Wilson is a very special house, a house where every boy has a place and has something unique to contribute.
David enjoys rugby, cricket, skiing, fine wines, history, and especially wasting his time trying to lower his handicap on the golf course. He is a member of a local church, is married to Amanda, has 3 children, and enjoys walking Tilly his cocker spaniel.
