Raymond House

Raymond House is situated on the main campus tucked between Seymour House and The White Lion Sixth Form Centre.

Walking from the inner quad, Raymond is past the Great Hall through the tunnel on the right, home to around 60 girls.

Housemistress

Jude Single took over as Raymond Housemistress in September 2017. She previously taught in Kent, where she spent time both as a Head of Sixth Form and Head of Drama.

Jude moved to Banbury in 2017 to take up her post; she has since enjoyed getting to know the Oxfordshire area where she has both friends and family. When not spending time with the girls in Raymond House, Jude enjoys relaxing with friends, reading crime fiction, baking, and visiting the gym (trips to the latter often being required to cancel out the consequences of the former!).

In addition to being the Raymond HsM, Jude also enjoys teaching both Drama and English and directing some of the school’s smaller cast productions, including projects destined for the NT Connections Festival. In the holidays Jude likes nothing more than visiting the theatre, travelling with friends, and having her four nieces Amelie, Elodie, Daisy and Bluebell to stay.

Her tastes are simple: she loves white flowers, the colour red and her guilty pleasures are black coffee and red wine.
