Today our school choir are flying to Rome, not only to visit this historical city but to have the honour of singing in the Vatican!

If you happen to be visiting the Vatican on Monday, listening to the dulcet strains of Mozart’s Ave Verum floating through St Peter’s Basilica, you will actually be listening to the Bloxham School choir.

This talented group of young singers aged 13-17 will be accompanied by James Ramm their choirmaster as well as a proud group of staff and parents who will be in the audience for this historic event.

The choir will also be putting in performances at the Pantheon on Tuesday 22nd and at morning Mass on Wednesday 23rd at the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The varied repertoire will not disappoint either, including wonderful pieces from Faure, Bruckner, Rutter and Taverner.

We shall proudly anticipate their return on’Thursday’24th’and share all about their ‘once in a lifetime’ experience.
