On Saturday 4th May, Bloxham celebrated multiple successes at the National Schools Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships.
The competition took place at Atkin, Grant & Lang Shooting Ground in St Albans and was attended by four Bloxham teams; A, B, C and Junior. The A team won the overall competition by an impressive margin of 17 clays ahead of Millfield, and Warwick placed third with 27 clays behind.
In their respective events, the B and Junior teams both placed first, with the C team finishing second behind the Bs.
Tom O. was awarded the High Gun trophy for the B team’s event with a score of 46 out of 50. Edward E. came in second with a score of 44, and George S. in third with 43 clays.
One of Bloxham’s coaches, Pam Eagles, said:
“This is a huge achievement for a small school to win all boys team events for the third year running. It’s awesome and a testament to the talent and commitment of the pupils and coaches.”
