Congratulations to our clay pigeon shooting teams who did fantastically well at the William Powell Challenge last week.
It was another win for the senior team of Jonty, Teddy, Toby and Paddy who won by a massive 27 clays with a score of 191 out of 240, pushing Bredon School into second place with 164. This was a brilliant achievement against some big schools such as Rugby, Millfield and Cokethorpe.
The Bloxham B team finished third place on 160, five clays ahead of Rugby A’s 155, with Millfield A’s finishing on 145.
Well done to Teddy who won the High Gun with an impressive score of 51 out of 60. Paddy, Toby and Sam all scored 48 but the runners up prize went to Paddy as he score 8 out of 8 on Stand 1 one ahead of Sam who scored 7.
The junior team finished a very creditable second place with a score of 155 just nine clays behind Princethorpe.
It was great to see some new faces shooting for the school for the first time experiencing the high’s of shooting and bouncing back from the lows! Well done everyone.
