Last week, we celebrated the first weekend of term with a whole school dance on Saturday night and a charity walk on Sunday, in aid of Bloxham’s chosen charity, Mary’s Meals.

Students, staff and other members of the Bloxham community joined together in completing the 10 mile sponsored walk, which, so far, has raised over ‘1,800 in cash and online donations, for Mary’s Meals – a fantastic achievement. The walk started (and finished) in Bloxham, exploring the Ridge Way to Bodicote, meandering through the green pastures adjacent to Banbury, along through North Newington and the castle grounds at Broughton, before descending down Hobb Hill and back to school.

This was a lovely occasion and a great chance for students to get to know one another at the start of term. Thank you to everyone who took part and for all the staff members who helped marshall the event.

If you’d like to donate, our JustGiving page will remain open this weekend, with a final total announced on Monday.
