The Bloxham Riding Team put in a fantastic performance at the Hurstpierpoint College National Schools and Pony Club Championships.

The riding team, consisting of Millie R., Joshua L. and Hannah B. attended the Championships in August, competing in sweltering temperatures. Hannah on her own Miss Josie came 11th with a lovely double clear in the warm up class on the first day. Mille, riding Lakeland Irish Mist, and Josh, riding George, both performed well but out of the placings.

Competition Day saw the team produce a solid performance in the first round, qualifying for the second. The second round was held in the rather daunting International Arena, under the sweltering midday heat and with fierce competition. The Bloxham team came an impressive 7th overall, with Millie having 1 of only 10 clear rounds. Millie went on to record the fastest time in the jump off, but with an unlucky fence down, saw her placed an admirable 4th individually.

Congratulations to the Riding team on their success and demonstrating great teamwork in supporting each other in their preparation and riding.
