Congratulations to Tom E (Wn) and Ben K (Eg) – who left the Upper Sixth Form this year – who have just completed a 13 day walk of just over 200 miles to raise money for Mary’s Meals.

The boys left Middle Tysoe on Sunday 23rd July and travelled on country footpaths to Evesham, Tewkesbury, Great Malvern, down the Malvern Hills, Newent, Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat, Monmouth, followed the Wye to Chepstow, Bristol, Bath, Frome and finished on Friday at Centre Parcs Longleat, carrying all their supplies and camping or bashering up in woods along the route. To make it more of a challenge, Tom has walked nearly all of it in a pair of flip flops! They have since spent a relaxing and enjoyable weekend in CentreParcs in reward of their efforts!

Tom and Ben were interviewed on BBC radio Wiltshire on Friday. To listen, click here (13 minutes in). They have also been featured in The Banbury Guardian, read the article here.

They have raised over £800 so far between online donations and money collected along the way.

Congratulations to them both, a fantastic effort!
