Second and Third Form students learnt about the physics of flight as well as career opportunities in the RAF when the RAF Science Education Roadshow came to visit.

This morning the RAF Science Education Roadshow visited Bloxham School for a morning of fantastic physics!

Second and Third Form students learnt about the physics of flight as well as career opportunities in the RAF beyond the obvious roles. The message was clear that engineering is not just for boys and does not just involve working on engines! The presentation included demonstrations with drones and virtual reality headsets, which students were encouraged to try out.

The highlight of the show was a pair of fully working model jet engines which produced enough noise for the roar from the Headmaster’s Lawn to be heard across the school!

Thanks to Andrew Millington and the RAF Roadshow team for making this such an enjoyable morning for Bloxham students.
