Bloxham School Students joined forces with the Oxford Bach Choir to perform a number of classic vocal pieces at St Mary’s Church, Bloxham

Members of Bloxham’s choir joined forces with the Oxford Bach Choir on 19th November to sing a selection of beautiful renditions of classic vocal pieces.

Here is a write up from Bella Salter, Wilberforce Upper Sixth:

“On the 19th of November this year, the Bloxham Chapel Choir had the incredible opportunity to sing a number of choral pieces together with the Oxford Bach Choir, a group of over 100 auditioned singers who are considered to be one of the best large amateur choirs in the UK. It was a great experience to sing complex pieces such as ‘I Was Glad when they said unto me’ by Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry and ‘The Five Mystical Songs’ by Ralph Williams with such a large choir of high musical ability. Ultimately, we all thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a big group, and being able to create such a loud and powerful sound in unity with the Oxford Bach Choir.”

The evening was a huge success and a lovely experience for our students. Thank you so much to the Oxford Bach Choir for inviting us to join them for such a wonderful evening.
