Children from Beachborough School took part in a ‘Great British Bake Off’ workshop today, hosted by Bloxham School’s Food Technology department.
Following a format similar to the hit BBC television show, the young bakers were challenged to produce show stopping cupcakes, using their technical skills and creative flair.
Old Bloxhamist, Julia Nash, who is a Director of Nash’s Bakery Ltd., returned to Bloxham School to judge the competition. She said: ‘It has been a real pleasure coming back to my old school. There are some fantastic facilities here, and it’s wonderful to see the children so enthusiastic. We definitely have a few bakers in the making!’
Star Baker prizes were received by Holly Brigden and Pippa How, who each went home with the latest Great British Bake Off recipe book, and a few cupcakes!
Judging: Julia Nash and Headmaster Paul Sanderson
