Local Photographer, Wig Sayell, captures the imagination of the photography society.

Wig described her journey through Art college as a Fine Artist and gave a valuable insight into how she developed her ideas into projects. A specialist in pinhole photography and photograms, Wig brought in examples of original prints and the improvised cameras used to take them as well as her sketchbooks. The image that left the greatest impression was a photogram of a collection of medical artefacts which were used in her medical care after her lung collapsed.

The L6 photographers were then able to experiment with pinhole techniques in their lessons converting a dustbin into a camera and creating photograms in the darkroom beneath Crake. An exhibition of their work will be held in the SDR before Christmas.
