This week, a team of eight Upper Sixth Seymour boys took on a staff team comprising six members of staff, one parent and one former colleague for a hard-fought Fives match.
The evening’s match saw high quality play from both sides in a closely-tied encounter, supported by a sizeable crowd of parents and supporters. The match went down to the very last game, with the boys emerging triumphant by a score of 116 to 104, with the doubles ending with a 38-38 tie. Another indication of just how tight the contest was is that the two sides each won four of the eight singles and two of the four doubles.
Many thanks to all those who came along to support both teams- the evening was a fitting way to say thank you and farewell to an outstanding group of boys who have played such a big part in the resurgence of Fives at Bloxham School.
