We are seeking a skilled and proactive Plumber and General Maintenance Operative to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the school’s buildings and facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors. This hands-on role involves carrying out plumbing repairs and installations, as well as supporting a wide range of general maintenance tasks across the school site. Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
  • Previous relevant industry plumbing role.
  • Up to date and relevant knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to undertake computer based administrative tasks with skill and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills being methodical and systematic in organising all workloads and individual tasks.

Working Arrangements:

  • 40 hours per week, Typically Monday to Friday
  • Part of a 4-week on-call rota (allowance paid when week on call plus overtime paid if called out)
  • Availability to start towards the end of March 2025

 Salary:

  •  £29,183 – £32,874 dependent on qualifications and experience
