We were delighted to welcome a number of OBs back to Bloxham for the inaugural meeting of the OB Advisory Panel on Saturday 9 November. The Panel was launched this year in response to feedback from last year’s OB Survey. In the past, we have relied on a small number of volunteers and the Panel aims to provide a more formal structure within the School to represent our OB community and support the work of the Alumni & Development Office.

The key aims of the panel are to ensure that the School provides relevant and appropriate events, services, benefits and support to the OB community and that alumni remain engaged in the on-going life of the School. The launch of the OB Advisory Panel is an exciting development for the School and an opportunity for Bloxham to foster a greater sense of community.

The initial panel consists of eleven OB volunteers from across the decades and includes a sub-committee dedicated specifically to supporting and promoting OB sport.

Our opening meeting focused predominantly on OB events, with the panel providing useful feedback on the current programme and contributing a number of suggestions for future events. We look forward to incorporating some of these into next year’s OB event schedule.

We are hugely grateful to all the OBs involved for their willingness to get involved and their commitment to the Panel. We look forward to the next meeting in May 2025.
