On Sunday, Bloxham School played host to a huge sports festival, bringing together local prep schools to compete in some hard-fought rugby and hockey matches
Sunday morning saw visitors from local prep schools The Croft, ‘Bilton Grange, Swanbourne, Carrdus, Spratton Hall, Ashfold, Beachborough and Winchester House come together at Bloxham School for a hugely exciting sports festival.
The girls teams took over the astro pitches to battle it out to be crowned hockey champions, whilst the boys headed to the rugby pitches for some hard-fought matches. The weather was glorious and it was a brilliant event for all players, parents and staff. There were some hugely impressive demonstrations of skills from every team but, of course, there always has to be a winner. Congratulations to Beachborough, who were crowned champions of the girls’ hockey festival. Meanwhile, Winchester House were delighted to be victorious in the boys’ rugby festival, with the result coming down to the last couple of minutes of the final match! After the event, our guests were invited to enjoy some lunch in our dining, meaning that the excited buzz remained around the school a long time after the competition was over!
It was a brilliant event and many thanks to Miss Odlin and Mr Hobley for organising such an enjoyable morning for everyone who was involved.
